Itazura na Kiss anime! ^^

Kaoru Tada’s classic shoujo manga Itazura na Kiss (Naughty/Teasing Kiss) will become an animated TV series. An official site is now opened and it says that the anime will premiere on Japanese tеlevision in April. ^^

The 23-volume unfinished manga has already been adapted as a television drama series in Japan (1996) and another drama series in Taiwan under the name It Started with a Kiss (2005). The 2005 Taiwanese version was popular enough that it was later reversed imported onto Japanese television and continued in a sequel series that premiered in Taiwan just last month.

STUDIO DEEN to animate Vampire Knight TV series

It was announced that STUDIO DEEN will handle the animation production of the anime adaptation of Matsuri Hino’s manga Vampire Knight !

Gundam 00 news + confirmed staff!

The press release for Mobile Suit Gundam 00, the 12th Gundam TV series and the first to be broadcast in Hi-Def. The premise is given as follows:
“The setting is Earth 300 years from the present day, in 2307 AD. The series depicts the protagonist, Setsuna F. Seiei, who pilots a mobile suit (Gundam Excia) for a mysterious private militia (Celestial Being), going against a whole world where conflicts never cease and the struggle to eradicate war.”
Bandai Namco’s press release says the first Gundam 00 plamodel, the 1/144 Gundam Excia, comes in September. Outside of Gunpla, expect a slew of merchandising including figures, candy toys, vending machine stuff, apparel, video games, mobile content, and DVD & video.

Ef - a tale of memories anime announced! ^^

Now, that was fast!~ ^^

Ef – a tale of memories is adaptation of Minori’s adult game ef – a fairy tale of the two which was recently released. The anime is scheduled for October (yay~!), though a Prologue DVD will be out on 24 August. Studio Shaft will handle the animation. The official site of the series is now open too.

Note: You can find the OP movie of the game here. The director of the animation is Makoto Shinkai, that’s why it is a must see!! ^_~

New You're Under Arrest Anime announced

The July issue of Kodansha’s Afternoon Magazine has reported that a new You’re Under Arrest anime TV series is currently in production. Anime series character designer Atsuko Nakajima will once again provide the animation character designs for this new series. Koichi Ohata will direct the new anime.
